Samenvatting

Dit artikel beschrijft de meest frequente postoperatieve complicaties die optreden bij het kind na thuiskomst: postoperatieve pijn, postoperatieve misselijkheid en braken (ponv), koorts en gedragsstoornissen. Het uitgangspunt in dit artikel is de klinische presentatie van deze complicaties. Van daaruit worden de oorzaken, de diagnostiek, de therapie en eventuele preventie besproken.
