Samenvatting

Adenomatoïde tumoren zijn zeldzaam. Het zijn echter wel de meest voorkomende benigne tumoren van de epididymis. Het onderscheid tussen extra- en intratesticulaire tumoren is belangrijk, omdat vrijwel alle intratesticulaire tumoren maligne zijn. Scrotaal echografisch onderzoek kan nauwkeurig differentiëren tussen intra- en extratesticulaire tumoren. De stijging van de incidentie van testiscarcinoom benadrukt het belang van dit onderscheid.
