Dit proces van sensitisatie speelt waarschijnlijk een belangrijke rol bij het ontstaan van compulsief drug-zoekgedrag (craving) en de terugval in het gebruik, lang na detoxificatie (relaps). De identificatie van de moleculaire en cellulaire grondslag van deze overgevoeligheid kan leiden tot een doeltreffende farmacotherapeutische behandeling van de verslaafde. …
