Samenvatting

in dit artikel wordt een overzicht gegeven van de effectiviteit van medicatie bij negen gerandomiseerde dubbelblind placebogecontroleerde studies bij gegeneraliseerde angststoornis, separatieangststoornis en sociale fobie op de kinder- en jeugdleeftijd. Een aantal problemen die men tegenkomt bij deze medicamenteuze behandeling zal worden besproken. Enerzijds zullen we naar voren brengen voor welke problemen leeftijdsspecifieke aspecten van farmacodynamiek en kinetiek ons stellen. Anderzijds zal besproken worden welke moeilijkheden we tegenkomen bij de interpretatie van de resultaten van deze studies en wordt er gekeken naar welke handvatten deze studies ons bieden voor de klinische praktijk.
