The disciplinary court put the onus largely on the occupational health physician (OHP) in its decision which was described in Medisch Contact of 18 April 2008. The NVAB, represented by its chairman Pieter Rodenburg, topped this. It feels like the occupational health physicians argue to be given the responsibility for absence and reintegration. But, as some responses also state, the Gatekeeper Improvement Act puts the responsibility for absence and reintegration with the employer and employee. And then the employer can ask the OHP for his advice on this issue.
