It is always a great honor to be associated with a scientific journal and to contribute to making new ideas and discoveries available to a wide international audience. In the present case, it is both an honor and a privilege to serve a journal like Psychological Research/Psychologische Forschung, one of the most prestigious fora where psychologists from a broad international community have for decades shared their knowledge. Psychological Research/Psychologische Forschung is one of the few major titles in psychology to be published in Europe and to be very highly respected outside Europe. This is clearly related to the close links between the journal and the very history of psychology since it was founded by such eminent figures as Wertheimer, Köhler, and Koffka, but it is also obviously due to the continuous high quality of the articles published, which has been ensured by several generations of editors, who have demanded the highest possible standards. …
