21st Century Jocks is an ambitious, engaging and fundamentally successful examination of social trends relating to gay and straight adolescent men in a culture of decreased homophobia. This is a summary of an impressive amount of data collected over 14 years, and develops Anderson’s theoretical and empirical arguments presented in his previous book, Inclusive Masculinities (Anderson 2009).
